Labrador Retriever - Jack - Medium - Young - Male - Dog
One Eyed Jack was rescued in 2007 while we were still operating out at the CARA facility. We had been at an adoption event at the Ranibow Co-op and driving back to the shelter. Jack was a young pup running around outside of the CARA facility, probably dumped by someone. We scooped him up and brought him in. He had an injury to his eye that was causing him much pain. We got him to a vet and found out that his eye was going to have to be removed, the injury caused the eye to be blind and was quit painful to the pup. He got through the surgery fine and never missed a beat. This guy is a very high energy dog who only wants to please and be a part of people. He NEEDS and deserves to have people around him. He thrives on people and will do best with a family who wants him in the center of their lives. He would do best with a family who would take him on runs to work out his energy, of which there is a plethora. Jack weighs around 35 pounds. He is always in need for a walk, so if you come out to volunteer, please consider this sweet pup!
